The Journey:
Day 1 — Arrival in Sinaia
Arrival at Bucharest Airport and transfer to Sinaia, a mountain resort set in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains.
Overnight stay.
Day 2 — Peleș Castle – Bran Castle – Brașov
After visiting Peleș Castle, one of Romania’s most elegant royal residences, transfer to the starting point of your first cycling stage.
A scenic descent leads you toward Bran Castle, where there is time to visit and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, continue toward the Postăvaru Mountains and the resort of Poiana Brașov, followed by a pleasant descent with panoramic views over Brașov.
Overnight in Brașov.
Cycling distance: approx. 40 km
Day 3 — Râșnov Fortress – Făgăraș Mountains
Morning visit to Râșnov Fortress, followed by a transfer to Zărnești.
From here, the route climbs gradually through forested terrain and traditional villages before reaching a scenic pass. A rewarding descent follows, opening into wide valleys at the foothills of the Făgăraș Mountains.
Continue cycling through farmland and small villages to your accommodation near Sâmbăta de Sus. Nearby, you can visit Brâncoveanu Monastery.

Day 4 — Saxon Villages to Sighișoara
Today’s stage explores the rolling hills between Sibiu and Sighișoara, a region known for its Saxon heritage and fortified churches.
Cycle through traditional villages such as Cincu, Agnita, Iacobeni, and Apold, each reflecting centuries of rural life.
Arrival in Sighișoara, one of Europe’s best-preserved inhabited medieval citadels (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Cycling distance: approx. 90 km
Day 5 — Biertan – Sibiu
Continue west through a landscape of farmland, hills, and fortified villages.
The route includes several historic sites, such as Biertan (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), as well as Rechiș, Alțâna, and Hosman.
Arrival in Sibiu, a cultural and historical center of Transylvania. Free time to explore the old town.
Cycling distance: approx. 77 km
Day 6 — ASTRA National Museum Complex – Transfăgărășan – Bâlea Lake
Morning visit to the ASTRA National Museum Complex.
Transfer to Cârțișoara, where the cycling stage begins along the spectacular Transfăgărășan.
The climb passes through coniferous forests and gradually reaches alpine terrain. Beyond the tree line, the landscapes open dramatically, leading toward Bâlea Lake at over 2,000 meters.
Overnight near the lake, with time for short walks in the surrounding area.
Cycling distance: approx. 35 km
Day 7 — Vidraru Dam – Poienari Fortress – Bucharest
After a short transfer through the mountain tunnel, begin a long descent along the southern slopes of the Făgăraș Mountains.
The route follows the Argeș River gorge, reaching the impressive Vidraru Dam.
Nearby, you can visit Poienari Fortress, associated with Vlad Țepeș.
Finish cycling near Curtea de Argeș, then transfer to Bucharest for an overnight.

Day 8 — Departure
Transfer to the airport for departure.
