🌆 Brașov
Framed by the peaks of the Southern Carpathians, Brașov is one of Romania’s most charming and historically rich cities. Founded by the Teutonic Knights in the 13th century and later developed by Saxon settlers, it preserves the character of a medieval citadel with remarkable authenticity.
The Old Town is a blend of Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance architecture, centered around the lively Council Square (Piața Sfatului), where colorful façades and historic buildings create a distinctive atmosphere.
A visit to the Black Church reveals one of the most important Gothic monuments in Eastern Europe, known for its impressive interior and one of the largest pipe organs in the region.
🏰 Bran Castle
Perched dramatically on a rocky outcrop, Bran Castle is one of Transylvania’s most iconic landmarks.
Its towers, narrow staircases, and hidden passages create a distinctive atmosphere, often associated with the legend of Dracula. Beyond the myth, the castle offers a fascinating insight into the region’s history, architecture, and royal heritage.
