DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 — Arrival in Transylvania: Welcome to Măgura Village
Arrival at Bucharest Airport, followed by a scenic transfer to Măgura, a traditional mountain village at the edge of Piatra Craiului National Park.
Accommodation for four nights in a local 3★ guesthouse, offering a warm, authentic atmosphere and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Day 2 — Piatra Craiului: Villages, Meadows & Alpine Landscapes
After breakfast, begin your first full trekking day in Piatra Craiului National Park.
The route passes through traditional mountain villages, open meadows, and gentle forest paths. During the warmer months, the landscape is enriched by a variety of alpine flowers, including the Carpathian iris.
Return to your guesthouse in the afternoon.
Walking time: 5–6 hours
Difficulty: easy to moderate
Elevation gain/loss: approx. 500 m
Day 3 — Curmătura Hut & Zărnești Gorges
Today’s route leads deeper into the park, with a steady ascent toward Curmătura Chalet.
Along the way, you may pass traditional sheepfolds before continuing toward the dramatic Zărnești Gorges, one of the most impressive natural features in the area.
Return to your accommodation in the evening.

Elevation gain/loss: approx. 700 m
Day 4 — Bran Castle & the Bucegi Mountains
Visit Bran Castle, often associated with the Dracula legend, and explore its layered history and setting.
The day continues with a scenic hike in the Bucegi Mountains, offering wide views across the surrounding ranges, including the ridge of Piatra Craiului.

Day 5 — Piatra Mare & Carpathian Wildlife Experience
Transfer to the Piatra Mare Massif for a hike through the spectacular Seven Ladders Canyon.
In the afternoon, take part in a guided Carpathian wildlife experience near Brașov, offering insight into the region’s natural environment.
Accommodation for two nights in a 3★ hotel in Brașov’s historic center.

Elevation gain/loss: approx. 800 m
Day 6 — Sighișoara: Medieval Transylvania
Day trip to Sighișoara, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Explore its historic streets, towers, and fortified structures, and experience a different side of Transylvania’s heritage.
Day 7 — Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Bucharest Airport.
