RASNOV FORTRESS IS CLOSED, for the moment! Anyhow, we could visit the outside walls and exterior court as follows:
Starting Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the Garden of the Medieval Fortress of Rasnov and the Báthory Tower, located at the entrance to the garden, can only be visited with an admission ticket.
Ticket details:
▪ The fee is 10 lei/person for visitors over 12 years old;
▪ Children under 12 years old enjoy free entry.
▪ Tickets can be purchased exclusively on-site, by card only (POS available).
Route: Brasov – Sinaia (visit the Peles Castle a Neo-Renaissance castle placed in an idyllic setting in the Carpathian Mountains, on a medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1883) - Bran (visit the Castle built by the Knights of the Teutonic Order between 1211 – 1225) – Lunch - Rasnov (visit the Fortress built in stone and brick by Rasnov’s inhabitants for refuge and defense) – Brasov.
