The recommendations of our tour guides:
While in Sighisoara you have several options to eat lunch or snacks. We provide you enough time during the tour to dine in a restaurant or have snacks at different stalls and enjoy a stroll on your own and look for souvenirs.
One of their favorite snack is the Langos, a deep fried bred dough topped with cheese and sour cream as savory or powdered sugar/jam as sweet snack. We always recommend Alte Post Restaurant where delicious traditional food is served.
For souvenirs guests usually go for traditional, handmade gifts, easy to transport. Many of these are wooden spoons, small jewelry or even T-shirts.
Please note the locations we are visiting are uneven paved with stones and for your safety we recommend you to wear sturdy shoes all seasons.
Important Information
Why are entrance fees not included in the tour price? Are there any other hidden costs?
We recognize that flexibility is important for our guests. That is why we separate entrance fees from the tour price. Some may have their own discounted tickets or prefer to skip certain attractions. This approach allows you to pay only for what you genuinely wish to experience. We assure you there are no hidden costs; we clearly outline all additional expenses, such as entrance fees and optional drop-offs, so you know exactly what to expect.
Where exactly is the meeting point? Can I be picked up from my hotel or dropped off at a different location?
The main meeting point is in front of Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu" at Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35. We completely understand that convenience matters; therefore, we offer complimentary pick-up from various locations within Brașov, including areas outside the old town. If you have a specific drop-off location in mind, we are happy to assist with that for a small additional fee. Just let us know 24 hours in advance, and we will make the necessary arrangements.
What happens if the weather is bad? Is this tour still worth doing in winter or during cold months?
We understand that weather conditions can be a concern. However, we firmly believe that this tour is worthwhile in any season. Winter adds a unique charm to the scenery, with snow-covered landscapes enhancing the beauty of the sites. Our transportation is climate-controlled for your comfort, and our guides are experienced in adapting the itinerary to make your experience enjoyable, no matter the weather.
Is this tour only available in English? Are there guides who speak other languages?
Currently, we offer the tour in English year-round. However, we fully understand that language preferences vary. If you require a guide who speaks another language, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will do our utmost to accommodate your request, depending on the availability of our guides.
Is the price worth just a day tour?
Absolutely! You’ll get to visit three iconic locations, including a UNESCO World Heritage site, with expert guides who genuinely care about providing a seamless and memorable experience. Our small group format also allows for a more personal touch, making it great value for a day filled with adventure.
Isn’t 9 hours too long for me?
Your comfort is our priority, and even though the tour lasts for 9 hours, we’ve crafted the itinerary to include plenty of breaks for you to relax, enjoy meals, and explore independently. We believe you’ll find the time will fly as you immerse yourself in these amazing locations.
Will I be able to handle uneven stone pavements and stairs?
Many of the beautiful places we visit, like Sighisoara and Rupea Fortress, have cobblestones and uneven paths, but they are generally manageable for most visitors. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes to ensure your comfort and safety, and our caring guides will always be there to assist you if needed.
Will there be enough time for me to explore independently?
Absolutely! We truly value your experience, so we’ve designed the tour to include both guided segments and free time, allowing you to wander, take photos, savor lunch, or shop for souvenirs at your own pace.
What if I don’t understand the local customs?
Please don’t worry! Our guides are experienced in bridging cultural gaps, and they will provide you with all the information you need to feel comfortable and enjoy your time here.
What happens if some sites are closed when I visit?
We want to keep you informed and will always notify you in advance if there are any closures. For example, while some main sites in Sighisoara are closed on Mondays, you will still have the opportunity to explore the medieval streets, charming shops, and delightful atmosphere.
Can’t I just do this trip on my own?
While you certainly could, we believe our tour offers a level of convenience, insight, and logistical support that you might miss if you venture out on your own. Letting us handle the details allows you to focus on enjoying the journey!
Why do I have to book at least one day in advance?
We encourage advance booking as it helps us to prepare for the best experience possible for you. It’s simple and quick to secure your spot through our website or by phone, and we appreciate your understanding.
Will there be food options for my dietary needs?
Yes, we want to make sure you feel catered to! The restaurants we recommend offer a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. Just let us know your preferences, and we'll guide you to the best spots that align with your needs.
Is the tour safe for me as a solo traveler or for my family?

Our Transilvania Experience
We had a great tour experience today with Mihai! He taught us a lot about Romanian history (he was VERY knowledgeable!) and he was also very kind and made us feel comfortable. We had the opportunity to go to Sighișoara, Viscri, and Rupea today and it was so beautiful. Transilvania is wonderful! We hope to come back to Transilvania very soon.
