Highlights

Disconnect from the hustle and bustle of a big city and discover the pure wilderness of the Carpathians. Here, you will see mountains of stunning beauty, surrounded by forests, where brown bears, red deer, wild boar, wolves and even lynx are still commonly seen in their natural environment.

This complete wildlife tour will take you to places where time seems to stand still, with virgin and semi-virgin forests and where a variety of plant and bird species call it home.

Itinerary

Once you arrive in Rucăr village, Argeș county, meet your guide and switch to offroad transportation and drive through Dâmbovița river valley, passing through some traditional villages along the way.

Enjoy a hiking trip (of around 2 hours, depending on your fitness level) to Comisu wildlife hide. We look for animal tracks, wildflowers and learn about the local ecosystems.

In the evening, enjoy a home-made dinner while keeping an eye out for wildlife. We spend our evenings telling stories.

At the crack of dawn, wake up to see wildlife with a mug of fresh tea or coffee.

After a delicious breakfast, we aim for Făgăraș ridge and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

At lunchtime, we choose a scenic place with a breathtaking view over Făgăraș and Iezer-Păpușa Mountains to relax and enjoy a well-deserved picnic.

Then, continue your hike down to Bunea wilderness cabin and treat yourself with a luxury stay in the wild.

Another day, another chance to see wildlife, from the comfort and safety of Bunea wilderness cabin.

In the evening, enjoy a candle-lit gourmet dinner made from local, organic ingredients and premium Romanian organic wines.

On your last day, wake up early in the morning if you want to maximize your wildlife watching experience. Then, after a hearty breakfast, we slowly embark on the journey back home.
